It’s the first Friday of the month and you know what that means; BandCamp Friday, my radio show Your Lunch Break, and the very happy marriage of those two events.
If you aren’t aware, BandCamp is a website that allows artists to sell their music and receive a very fair cut of the profits. One thing that makes BandCamp even more special is that the first Friday of every month they wave their 15% revenue share, giving all but the processing fee to the artist. Which is an incredible act of generosity, especially in an uphill industry for independent artists.
