I’m starting to get my merch store together, but wanted to share the first items up for sale. These “I Just Want Something Good” shirts are a tri-blend and super soft. I’ve been wearing one for a few weeks now and I love it, which makes selling it super easy.
If you’d like one, send a message to Bookings@FreddyHallMusic.com and we can sort out the details. $25 including shipping.
OR, pick one up at a live show this summer. I’ll have them with me 🙂
I’d like to thank Ben McCoy of Unxigned Music Blog for writing a sweet review of “Something Good” in which he says “loneliness just got a funky, happy makeover.”
If you’re wondering where three whole weeks of my life went, look no further! Here is a home-made lyric video for “Something Good.” After digging through my magazine collection, learning the subtle art of stop motion and working with this awesome cast, I couldn’t be more excited to share this project!
Be sure to like the video and subscribe to my channel 🙂 I’ll be releasing more videos throughout the year and every ounce of support goes a long way.
I’m feeling mighty amped with the release of “Something Good,” and wanted to first, thank everyone who has taken a listen, purchased the tune and shared it with their friends! It means a lot and I’m so very grateful.
I’d also love to give a shout out to these playlists featuring “Something Good:”
Southern California Singer-Songwriter Radio is spinning “Something Good” all day today and have featuring me on their Artist Spotlight. It was an honor speaking with station manager Michael Drange about the track, as well as my music in general! The feature replays at the top of every other hour and you can tune in here!
“Something Good,” the first single off my upcoming album Dazy, is out now and you can listen here!
“Something Good” is an upbeat, anthemic ode to loneliness. It’s kinda timely, considering we’ve all been isolated for over a year. But, I don’t know, I’m sensing the tides are changing?
I recorded Something Good at Virtue and Vice studios – it’s produced by myself and Anthony ‘Rocky’ Gallo. Rocky also mixed this bad mo-fo. He’s been around for all three albums!
The usual cast of characters can be heard on the track:
My boy, Marques Walls is on Drums. He’s a longtime bro bro and no stranger to many of you. He’s also a seriously creative photographer/producer/comedian. Alan Stevens Hewitt – AKA Zaddy – is on the bass guitar. He also opened up his beautiful home in Haverstraw, NY last summer for us practice before heading into the studio. Cian McCarthy is on keys and is responsible for the feverish horn section! He arranged all of the booty-shakin’ horn parts. Speaking of the horn section, Matt Owens is on Trumpet – he and I worked together in Central Park one summer, along with Andrew Gutauskas who plays multiple reed instruments. And my homie/Beautiful bandmate, Nick Grinder, is on trombone. Supporting me with backup vocals are: Ximone Rose, Ben Moss and Aneesa Folds.
“Something Good,” the first single off of my upcoming album is coming out this Friday, May 7th! Enjoy this stop-motion trailer that I made. And brace yourself for a full-length stop-motion lyric video closely following the release of the song 🙂
